An Evening on Peristil: Klapa, Folklore, and the Sound of Old Dalmatia

In summer, as the sun sets behind the Cathedral of St. Domnius, Peristil Square becomes an open-air stage. Klapa singing groups in traditional costume gather right in front of Lvxor, their multi-part harmonies echoing off columns nearly 1,700 years old.

Folk ensembles carry the evening forward with dances like the Dalmatian kolo, in vivid traditional costumes that carry centuries of tradition. For guests seated on our terrace, this isn't just a performance — it's the soundtrack to an evening where Roman architecture meets the Dalmatian spirit.

These performances are part of a long-standing Split summer tradition, usually organized during the tourist season in cooperation with the city and local cultural associations. The schedule isn't always fixed, so we recommend contacting us directly or following our Instagram for announcements.
